Holy Crap!


I just found out that I'm a top 20 finalist in a screenwriting competition called Script P.I.M.P. I guess Deadbeat Boyfriends isn't dead after all. I'm invited to their awards ceremony in L.A. on July 26, where they announce the four winners.

Members of Think Tank Thursday, I guess I'll have to miss our next meeting!

Way to go, Marc. DBB is a great script and this news comes as no great surprise. Still, there's nothing like a "finalist" rating to give you a shot in the creative arm. I'll be pulling for you -- and hoisting a glass to you @ the post T3 Grumpy's roundtable on the 26th. DK

What's interesting is that the only difference between being a finalist and being a winner, as far as I can tell, is $2,500. The "exposure" side of the equation is the same.

I haven't been able to find that out yet. I'm assuming I'll be getting something in the mail, and that might say.

Congrats. Good to see Minneapolis doin it.

I was a finalist last year, got a couple of bites from managers and whatnot. I was rep'd already, but it was still cool to feel wanted.
